After signing from Leyton Orient during the summer of 2021, Lee signed a new one-year contract extension in May, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Angol impressed last season, scoring seven goals in just 22 appearances.
The 27-year-old is nearing his 200th career appearance, having played for a number of other Sky Bet Football League teams, including Peterborough and Mansfield Town.
