City legend James Hanson is tackling the AJ Bell Great North Run on September 8 2024 to help raise funds for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
Hanson was part of the team that took on the March of the Day earlier this year, raising vital funds for an important cause, close to all our hearts. It helped take City’s total money donated to the foundation to over £300,000.
All of the funds donated via Hanson’s official fundraising page here, will go directly to the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
Speaking on his fundraising, Hanson has said: “I am completing the Great North run to raise funds to go towards my good friend, Stephen Darby’s DarbyRimmer foundation. Having played with Darbs for more than 5 years, he wasn’t just a teammate but a true friend.
“It is an honour to take part in this run to help his foundation. He is and continues to be an inspiration to everyone through his personal battle with MND. Any donation, big or small, would be most appreciated.”
