Local SWAT Youth and Tobacco Prevention Specialist Speak at Bradford County Legislative Delegation Hearing

The Bradford County Legislative Delegation Meeting was held on December 12, 2012 at the Bradford County Courthouse.

The Bradford County Tobacco Prevention Specialist, Jenna Hewett was in attendance with Bradford High School (BHS) Students Working Against Tobacco President, Marrissa Greenwell.

The Bradford Tobacco Prevention Specialist was able to speak with Representative Charles Van Zant and newly elected Senator Rob Bradley on behalf of the Tobacco-Free Partnership of Bradford County and the Florida Tobacco Prevention Program. The information that was provided to the Representative and Senator included why the program exists, the strides that have been made since the program's establishment and asked for maintaining and possibly even increasing support for the program.

BHS SWAT President, Marrissa Greenwell also spoke to the delegation on the local and state Students Working Against Tobacco program. Marrissa on local efforts to impact our youth and how the SWAT Clubs and Tobacco-Free Partnership are tirelessly working together to have a positive effect in Bradford County.
