The Bradford County Students Working Against Tobacco Chapter Starts the 2016-2017 School Year!
September 16, 2016

Perhaps the most successful SWAT recruitment in years was held at Bradford High School this quarter. The NOISE, the EXCITEMENT and the LAUGHTER brought so much spirit to Bradford High School’s first and second lunches on September 16, 2016.

SWAT members Maycee Barnes (L) and Paxon Wise (R) recruit new members!

The SWAT club’s President and long-time member, Paxon Wise, did an excellent job reeling people in. The SWAT advisor and many other SWAT students were also there in hopes to attract students to become a part of the SWAT Club. There was a booth set up with pictures, give aways, flyers and membership forms. There were so many students that stopped by to learn more about the SWAT club, and many of them signed the recruitment form, wanting more information and to become a part of the club.

“Today was such a positive experience,” said Candace Osteen, BHS SWAT Advisor.  “We were able to reach out to many potential SWAT members and we look forward to seeing what our club will be able to accomplish this year. And Paxon… she’s an awesome president! She pulled so many people in with her fun personality and positive attitude, I’m sure this club will increase its membership this year!”
