Harry Lewis praised the Bantams' recent defensive performances, following another clean sheet in last night's stalemate with Carlisle United.
City’s No.1 was pleased with how the team stood up to the challenge against the Cumbrians, and how they responded to conceding two to Hartlepool over the weekend.
“There are so many quality defenders here,” Lewis said.
“Tonight, I have not had to make many saves. That is testament to how solid we have been recently.
“A goalkeeper’s job is to be there when your team needs you. If the team does not need you, then that is nice - I am not going to complain.
“Four clean sheets out of six - I am pleased about that.
“I have got targets I am aiming for, and we are a solid outfit at the minute.
“We can take some comfort in how we played tonight. After Saturday we were disappointed - we did more than enough to win the game.
“Since the turn of the year, Carlisle have picked up the most points in the league, so it was always going to be a tough battle.
“I was pleased with the defence and the reaction from Saturday.
“We stood up to them well, and I thought a point was fair on reflection.”
The 25-year-old stressed the importance of turning the last few draws into wins, but was pleased to see the Bantams’ unbeaten run stay intact.
The former Southampton stopper added how having this weekend off could be a good chance to “hit the reset button” ahead of the final nine games of the season, and coming back ready to battle for the Bantams.
“We are disappointed because three points would have been massive,” he added.
“If you cannot win, you want to make sure you do not lose. We had chances to win the game, but so did they.
“Our unbeaten run stays intact, but we need to turn these draws into wins.
“We have nine games left and we are all aware how massive each one is.
“When we come back, every game is going to be a battle. From Grimsby onwards, it is going to be everything we have got.
“This is the last weekend with no games until the end of the season, so it's time to relax and press the reset button, then come back ready to go for the final nine matches.”
