Bradford City AFC will now face La Liga side Getafe in a friendly during the club’s Spanish pre-season tour, next Friday July 14 (7.00pm local time).
This comes after City’s original opponents, CD Eldense, informed the Bantams on Monday they would be unable to fulfil the fixture, in line with La Liga ruling concerning player welfare, having last played a competitive match less than two weeks ago.
Mark Hughes’ men will now take on the Spanish top-flight outfit at the Oliva Nova Sports Center on Friday July 14 (the same date as the original fixture), with action to get underway from 7.00pm local time.
Upon receiving notice from CD Eldense, the club and our official overseas travel partner, Kadima Sports, moved swiftly to confirm a new opponent, and would like to take this opportunity to thank Getafe and those involved in helping secure a venue for the fixture for their co-operation.
The Bantams will follow the exact same schedule for their trip, flying the day after this Saturday’s trip to Bury and training at the Pinatar Arena throughout the week, before flying home the day after the Getafe fixture.
Supporters’ transfers, as booked through Kadima Sports, will be organised in the exact same way from the specified pick-up points - before and after the fixture - with full confirmation and timings below.
In addition, due to demand, transfers from a third pick-up point for supporters already based in Alicante will be provided, in addition to those at Torrevieja and Benidorm. New tickets for the game against Getafe are now being issued via email to supporters who have secured their place and returned their travel form to bookings@kadima.co.uk.

Supporters are asked to arrive on time to ensure your tickets are verified and you are able to board the bus. The bus will depart promptly, therefore late arrival may mean you are unable to travel to the game.
FanZone Entry:
Upon arrival at the Oliva Nova Sports Center, the FanZone will open from 3.00pm local time, where you can enjoy arranged music and entertainment, as well as food and drink trucks for an enhanced pre-match experience.
Game Entry:
Kick-off for the game is at 7.00pm local time. You will again be required to present your match ticket to enter the stadium. After the game, coaches will collect supporters from Oliva Nova, departing the venue at 9.30pm prompt and dropping off at the three respective points.
Supporters who HAVE NOT received a travel form to complete and return via email, having booked a package, are asked to download and complete a form by CLICKING HERE and return it via email to bookings@kadima.co.uk, as a matter of urgency. Tickets will only be sent via email to supporters who have returned their travel form.
