Ryan signed a two-year deal with the Bantams at the end of May 2022 following the expiry of his contract at Swindon Town.
East began his career at Reading, and became the Royals’ 50th academy graduate to turn out for the first team, when he made his debut against Leeds United in March 2019.
In the summer of 2021, the midfielder joined Swindon Town and made 23 appearances for the Robins, as he was part of the side that missed out on promotion to League One.
City’s No.16 featured 26 times for the Bantams last season, registering two assists.
