Matty signed for the Bantams in the summer of 2022 from Barrow on a two-year deal, which keeps him at the University of Bradford Stadium until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
The towering centre-back spent a total of three years in Cumbria, aiding the Bluebirds to a National League title in 2020.
Prior to joining Barrow, Platt started his professional career at Blackburn Rovers, and enjoyed short loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Southport.
The 6ft 3ins defender scored a total of four goals during his time at Holker Street before making the move to BD8 in the summer of 2022.
City’s No.5 was a key fixture in the Bantams’ defence as they secured play-offs for the first time in six years, appearing a total of 46 times in all competitions in 2022/23.
