Luke signed a new two-year deal with City in the summer, after initially signing in January 2022.
Hendrie came through the academy at Manchester United, before featuring for the likes of Derby County, Burnley, Shrewsbury Town, Grimsby Town, and Hartlepool United.
The 27-year-old is close to making his 50th appearance for City, after previously having a loan spell at Valley Parade during the 2017/18 season.
